Marvels Manhattan rated  Great
I'm suprised at how little play this map is receiving, I think this is due to it being simulgear, rather than a reflection of the quality of the map.

With reinforcement to any territory, attacking with reinforced units, and battles favoring the attacker, this is a this is a dynamic, quick paced and difficult scenario. The subway connections give this a distinctly connected feel that I enjoy, similar to Speakeasy. The fortified capitals with a bonus make for interesting strategy, similar to what you might find in a game of Castles. The attack bonus makes me uncomfortable.. but in this case I think it is the exciting uncomfortableness of being forced outside your comfort zone.

Perhaps the best aspect of this map is that it is both comprehensible and unique.. everything about this map is straightforward, but no other map on the site plays like this one.

So play it!

This was the best 1v1 Simultaneous game on Warfish, and the port here has generally improved the graphics while leaving the great gameplay intact. I have some trouble making out who owns what territory with the similar colors and colored borders.

I'm not sure yet what I think about the attack after reinforcement rule, it seems to lend itself to blitz strategies, while I always thought of the map as more of a submission game.

Hordes of Africa rated  Great
Beautiful graphics, solid map. Plays quite differently from the global hordes due to the lack of choke points and the attack limits. I enjoy it with both heavy and light fog, with no fog I feel the map is a bit too open and difficult to control.

Speakeasy rated  Superb
I'm a sucker for hordes maps, and this is a nice one. There are several nice nooks and crannies to start out in, and I'm not convinced that any part of the map is much stronger than the rest. The speakeasys give the map a more open feel than it would otherwise have, and increase contact with all the other players.

This board is a lot of fun, and quite different from the mix. My one dislike is perhaps how quickly a player can shoot ahead with the fog and bonus structure.. however that player is usually me, so...

Five rated  Perfect
I haven't had this much fun with a puzzle since college. This map is NOT balanced in the classic sense, but the struggle to prove a winning solultion for Black is frankly more fun than a balanced game anyhow.

Total WarGear rated  Great
This is one of the maps that I am always excited to see my turn arrive on. I enjoy the island philosophy combined with a nice mix of different types of access to the other islands.. I have seen a number of different winning strategies. I am a big fan of the heavy fog and satellite situation, as well as the choice of whether or not to take your capital. Very fun.

Spy vs Spy rated  Perfect
I can't think of any way to make it better, so 10 stars.

I agree with the previous reviewers lauding of the simple, strategic gameplay. Things sometimes come down to chance.. but then this is a dice game. The graphical element is brilliant as well, clever use of fill colors.
